So it finally happened, my first day at school. It wasn't that bad, I said hi to a few students and introduced myself to some of the teachers. It was awkward at first but that was mostly due to my lack of Korean. Later in the morning, we held a small opening ceremonies introducing the new kids with the new teachers as well. Of course I had to do a small introduction myself. Honestly, I felt quite nervous at the first day despite the fact that most of the people here don't understand a word I was saying. I said a few words, along the line of "I'm from Canada" and "let's do our best to improve your english". Then I just hung around for the rest of the day not doing anything until I decided to go home. <.<
The next day, I had to go another school which is much smaller than the main one I go to. There is 13 kids in the entire school and it had every elementary grades. I had grade 1 through 6 in one class with an age gap as wide as 6 years. I have no idea how to do this. orz
Fortunately, I was with my coteacher that day so it wasn't that bad; it was just very loud.... oh so very loud...
Now I'm back to my main school and wait for some students to do a quickie. My mentor teacher said it wouldn't last long, about 15 to 20 min. Then I another one with the kindergarteners. yay for a short day~
